Quality & Finishes
One quality bar.
Held across every line.
Madhuram operates to a single quality reference — IS 319:2007 brass, RoHS-compliant finishing, dimensional QA on every batch, and finish-thickness QA on every PVD run. The standard doesn't change between hardware, bath and extrusion.
Finish chart
Fourteen finishes. Matched.
Every finish carries the same quality signature — colour delta-E held inside ±1.5 across a single project run. PVD finishes are deposited in our own chamber, not outsourced.
Alloy grades
Ten brass grades on the extrusion bench.
From free-cutting C36000 to marine-grade C46400 — we extrude the alloy your application needs, not just the alloy on the shelf.
| Grade | Key features | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|
| CZ121 (CW614N) | Excellent machinability, good strength | Gears, connectors, fittings |
| CZ122 (CW617N) | High corrosion resistance, hot forging suitable | Plumbing fittings, valves |
| C36000 (Free-Cutting) | 100% machinability, dimensional stability | Electrical connectors, screws |
| C35300 (High-Leaded) | Exceptional machinability, corrosion resistant | Bushings, bearings |
| C38500 (Architectural) | Strong, good surface finish | Decorative parts, connectors |
| CZ131 (CW606N) | Moderate strength, excellent machinability | Plumbing & electrical parts |
| C27200 (Yellow) | High ductility & corrosion resistance | Fasteners, hardware |
| C27400 (Admiralty) | Marine-grade corrosion resistance | Heat exchangers, marine parts |
| C28000 (Muntz Metal) | Excellent strength & machinability | Industrial components |
| C46400 (Naval Brass) | Superior seawater resistance | Propellers, marine, machinery |
Inspection bench
Tested before it ships.
Our QA bench tests for chemical composition, hardness (80-120 HB grade-dependent), tensile (350-500 MPa), yield (100-300 MPa), elongation (10-30%) and finish thickness — every batch.
Cleaning instructions
Cotton cloth. Nothing else.
Do not use thinner, masking tape, acid-based cleaners, toilet cleaner or detergent on Madhuram finishes — they damage the PVD layer and antique relief. A soft cotton cloth is enough.
Damage from chemical cleaning is not covered by warranty.
